Tenor Guitar Hankering...

Yes yes, I know. I have instrument ADD. I admit that. Currently I've been thinking about a tenor guitar. Why? Well, I can tune it in fourths like a baritone uke, or in fifths like an octave mando. Both of which I play.

Of all the cooky instrument ideas I've had lately - this one actually has the best collection of rationalization.

I've been thinking of the Gold Tone resonator version above -some of you have Gold Tone banjo-ukes and banjos - any thoughts on quality for Gold Tone?

i have the gold tone banjolele and used to have a gold tone 5 string banjo (with resonator) and have nothing bad to say about them. the quality and construction are very nice.

alan also has the banjolele and i think he likes it (although it's not made out of plastic or children).

I don't have a Gold Tone, I have a Republic resonator. It was a totally girly moment of wanting the aged brass finish instead of something shiny. I know this isn't all relevant.. but I sorta felt bad thre was only one comment :)

Buy it Grumps - it's so you! And if you're still not sure - ask yourself: What would Deach have done?

I have had a GT Banjolele and just got a tenor banjo uke. Both were well made and finished with the only downside being the tuners on the Banjolele.
