make sure to post again when the item ships. and then again when you are anxious waiting for the item to arrive. and then again when you receive the uke. and then again with the photos and review.
and it sounds really nice. AS IT SHOULD! For $169 it SHOULD sound nice. Not nice as in GrumpyCoyoteLute nice but still nice. It sounds as nice as $40 vintage plastic uke. I guess it's the plastic 'gig bag' that you're paying extra for.

I was playing my $50 Islander (which had a break in the fretboard and body that I superglued) and was thinking, "Man this sounds great!" It has an amazing resonance that you wouldn't expect from a plastic. I can't imagine that these new plastics would sound any better.
We can't promise that anything on this site will be interesting, relevant to the ukulele, or politically correct. In fact we can guarantee it won't be politically correct. If you find something offensive and would like to retort, or if you just wish to add your two cents on any blog, feel free to join the party and jump in. If you find something so offensive that you can't stand it, bummer for you. Don't hold any individual comment against another UCBer. Some of us are much nicer than others of us. and each one of us speaks for ourself and only for ourself. -UCB, FEA, TCASI

Very, very cool but far too expensive for what they are, IMO.
I don't know what they are until I get my hands on one! :D

what stringz are you going to put on there?
Like $150 IIRC, if it's half as good as the plastic backed Flukes, it's a fine price.
You must give us the review amigo.
Deach: I thought I'd try steel mandolin strings on dem.
RB: I'm working on a new arrangement of "Buttercup" right now!
Ok, so I listened to MGM's sound clip

Be sure and ask us all what strings we think will sound best on it.
